Cely’s House AfterSchool Program

Cely’s House After School Program offers a safe and nurturing environment for elementary and middle school-aged children. Our program is focused on the creative needs of children and aims for inclusiveness of all families. We believe that ALL children are gifts from God and are entitled to God’s gifts of respect, care, and nurture.

Our goal is to provide a safe, loving, and creative environment for children, fostering friendships, and bridging the time between after school hour and home. We believe that each child is an individual equipped with his or her own strengths and gifts. Our students will be encouraged to be creative and to develop their talents as they grow in ways that suit them best.

We believe that healthy development involves spiritual as well as emotional, mental, and physical growth.

Application and Materials Fees

The application fee is $25.00 and is not refundable. This is due when you turn in your child’s application form. If the program is full when you apply, we will place your child on a waiting list. As vacancies come up, we will call you.

A basic materials fee is included in each month’s tuition. This covers costs for basic art supplies as well as homework and activity supplies, Excessive consumption or misuse of art supplies or program materials will be subject to additional fees.

Tuition

The new schedule of fees that follows is based upon 180 academic days over nine months (September 2008 - May 2009) or twenty days per month payable in 9 equal installments.

5 days ............ $15.00 ⁄ day ............ $300.00 ⁄ month

4 days ............ $16.00 ⁄ day ............ $256.00 ⁄ month

3 days ............ $17.00 ⁄ day ............ $204.00 ⁄ month

2 days ............ $18.00 ⁄ day ............ $144.00 ⁄ month

1 day ............ $20.00 ⁄ day ............ $ 80.00 ⁄ month

Full payment at the monthly rate is due on the first of each month and delinquent after the 15th of the month. Payments made after this date will be assessed a $20.00 late fee.

The above monthly fees do not include any school holidays or teacher workdays. Cely’s House will provide services as needed (based upon a minimum of 4 children) for:

School Holiday ⁄ Teacher Workday ............ $70.00 ⁄ child (8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

Half Day Sessions ................................... $40.00 ⁄ child (8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

When schools are closed due to inclement weather, Cely’s House will also be closed.

Other Classes:

Cely’s House will also provide small group art classes for children attending Chapel Hill Montessori Day School classes from 8:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. at the above rates.

This program includes a lunch together, then an afternoon of relaxed indoor and outside play, art, rest time, and reading. A healthy snack will be provided to the children staying for the extended day AfterSchool program. Children should bring a bag lunch each day.

Parents may also allow their child(ren) to attend the regular After School session that follows at the above daily
rates (based upon number of days attending per week) in addition to the morning rates. Full payment for the
month is due on the first of each month (above After School payment rules apply).
