Notice of Change for Summer 2008
We are hoping to have our full Summer Art Camp in 2009. While we work on solving our parking problem we will offer limited art camp options for 2008:
- Two one-week Crazy Chairs Camps will be offered at Blacknal Memorial Presbyterian Church in Durham
- One two-week Pottery and Sculpture Camp will be offered at Cely’s House
- One one-week Caring for Creation with Art Camp will be offered at Cely’s House

Summer Art Experience 2008 - Crazy Chairs and Stools
Location:
Blacknal Memorial Presbyterian Church - Durham, NC
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
$250 per week covers art materials and snacks
SESSION 1: Crazy Chairs & Stools - June 30 - July 4
Wood and plaster creatures to sit on and tie dye pillow to match.
EXTRA LONG SESSION needed for the crazy chairs
SESSION 2: Crazy Chairs & Stools - July 7 - 11
Wood and plaster creatures to sit on and tie dye pillow to match.

Summer Art Experience 2008 - Two-Week Pottery and Sculpture Camp
Location: Cely’s House
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
2:00 pm. - 5:00 p.m.
$300 for the two-week camp covers art materials and snacks
WEEK 1: Pottery Camp - July 21 - 25
During the first week, the children will use the potter’s wheel each day, as well as, making other pottery
using hand building methods
WEEK 2: Pottery Camp - July 28 - August 1
During the second week, the children will be glazing last week’s pottery creations,
tie-dyeing t-shirts, making plaster and junk sculptures, and weaving baskets
Select either the morning or afternoon classes for these weeks.

Summer Art Experience 2008 - One-Week Caring for Creation with Art Camp
Location: Cely’s House
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
2:00 pm. - 5:00 p.m.
$175 for the one-week camp covers art materials and snacks
Session 1: Caring for Creation with Art Camp - August 1 - 7
During this week, children (ages 4-6) will be exploring caring for creation with art that will include
creating pottery animals, junk sculptures, plaster birds and birdhouses, decorative flower pots,
tie-dye t-shirts, and pillows. Select either the morning or afternoon class for the week.
