The Ultimate Summer Art Experience !

Cely’s House will offer a morning and an afternoon art session for the Summer Camp 2010.

Mornings - 9:00 a.m - 12:30 p.m.
Afternoons - 1:30 p.m - 5:00 p.m.

"Caring for Creation" classes are for ages 6 and up.
All other classes are for ages 8 and up.

We will also offer Lunch Bunch from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at an added cost of $25 ⁄ week.
Children staying for lunch should bring a bag lunch.

The morning session will be intensive art classes with snack and play time.
The afternoon session will offer mixed media art with snack and play time.
All class sizes limited to 15.


Summer Art Experience 2010

Week 1: June 21 - 25 - REGISTRATION CLOSED - Full

Morning - Crazy Chairs & Stools
LARGE wood, paper, and plaster creatures to sit on and tie-dye pillow to match
Afternoon - Discovering Dragons
Dragons will be our focus using pottery, plaster sculpture, relief, and cartoon drawing

Week 2: June 28 - July 2 - REGISTRATION CLOSED - Full

Morning - Crazy Chairs & Stools
LARGE wood, paper, and plaster creatures to sit on and tie-dye pillow to match
Afternoon - Bodacious Birds
Campers will be making birds using pottery, plaster, relief, and cartoon drawing

Weeks 3 and 4: July 5 - 9 and July 12 - 16

Morning - Intensive Two Week Pottery
Week 1 - campers will use the potter’s wheel each day and do hand built clay project
Week 2 - campers will glaze pottery, make tie-dyed t-shirts, plaster animals, and baskets
Afternoon - Exploring Charcoal, Watercolor, and Paint
Week 1 - campers will draw with charcoal and explore many watercolor techniques
Week 2 - campers will work with paints on canvas to create a beautiful portrait

Weeks 5: July 19 - 23

Morning and Afternoon - Caring for Creation
Art projects will remind us to care for creation as we recycle, reuse, and renew
with pottery, plaster, paint, old junk, plastic, and paper
Morning and afternoon art classes will be doing the same projects
